On 26 November 2019, Ambassador Sun Gongyi paid a courtesy call on Hon. Soomilduth Bholah, Minister of Industrial Development, SMEs and Cooperatives of Mauritius, and the two sides exchanged views on bilateral cooperation in the industry field. Mr. Hu Ming, Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy, accompanied the meeting.

Congratulating Mr. Bholah on his new appointment, Ambassador Sun presented his gratitude to the Ministry for its support in many years to the Chinese Embassy, and said China is willing to continue to contribute to the economic and social development of Mauritius, and maintain communication with Mauritian side on cooperation concrete.

Mr. Bholah is grateful for China's important contribution to the development of various fields of Mauritius, and looks forward to further strengthening exchanges and cooperation with China in  the area of importation of manufacturing technology and personnel training.
