Ambassador Sun Gongyi Attends the Opening Ceremony of the Project of "Seeds For the Future" Held by Huawei (Mauritius)

On October 12, 2020, Huawei (Mauritius) held the opening ceremony of the fourth Project of "Seeds For the Future" at Hennessy Park Hotel in the presence of Mrs. Leela Devi Dookun-luchoomun, Mauritian Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology, Ambassador Sun Gongyi, Commercial Counsellor Hu Ming, Mr. Xia Hesheng, director of East Africa Multinational Management Department of Huawei, and Mr. Jiang Yuhao, General Manager of Huawei (Mauritius).

In her address, Mrs. Leela Devi Dookun-luchoomun underscored that innovation and technology play a vital role in modern society and life with education and training propelling the development of technology. She lauded Huawei's Project of "Seeds For the Future" for creating valuable opportunities for young people and fostering a large number of top talents for Mauritius, hoping that the Mauritian youth can utilize the techniques that they have mastered to contribute to the development of Mauritius.

Ambassador Sun Gongyi extended congratulations to the young people selected for the Project of "Seeds For the Future" as well as the award winners of the Second Huawei ICT Competition in Mauritius, hoping that Huawei will cultivate more young talents for Mauritius while making strides in Mauritius. .

Mr. Xia Hesheng said in his speech that the Project of "Seeds For the Future" reflects Huawei's vision of social responsibility, namely, "in Mauritius, by Mauritius, and for Mauritius", expecting that the young people selected for the Project will make full use of this opportunity to improve their technical knowledge and innovation ability, thus creating more opportunities for their future careers.
