On August 7, Chinese Ambassador Dr.Huang Shifang and Mauritius' Minister of Health and Wellness Mr.Anil Kumar BACHOO jointly attended the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on health cooperation between China and Mauritius. Under the MoU, Peking University Third Hospital and Victoria Hospital of Mauritius will establish a cooperative partnership in the field of interventional diagnosis and treatment.

Ambassador Huang noted that China and Mauritius enjoy a longstanding traditional friendship and have achieved fruitful outcomes in health cooperation. The MoU would help establish a stable partnership between the two hospitals, promote exchanges in medical technology and personnel training, and improve the health and well-being of the Mauritian people, particularly at the grassroots level.

Minister Bachoo expressed appreciation for China's longstanding support and reaffirmed Mauritius' commitment to further deepening bilateral cooperation in the health sector.
