On 18 June, Ambassador Huang Shifang met with Hon. Mahendra Gondeea, Mauritian Minister of Arts and Culture. The two sides exchanged views on cultural cooperation between China and Mauritius.

Ambassador Huang stated that cultural cooperation between China and Mauritius enjoys solid foundation, and expressed China’s willingness to continue strengthening cooperation with Mauritius in areas such as the promotion of Chinese culture and people-to-people exchanges, so as to enhance bilateral friendship to reach a new level.

Minister Gondeea thanked China for its long-standing and active engagement in a wide range of cultural cooperation with Mauritius, and expressed the hope that the two countries would further enhance cultural exchanges and cooperation in such areas as film and television collaboration and arts education.
