On March 18, Ambassador Huang Shifang met with Dr. Abdou Gueye, the newly-appointed Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) to Mauritius.

Ambassador Huang introduced China–Mauritius cooperation in the medical and healthcare sector and stated that the Chinese side is willing to deepen cooperation with the WHO to support the development of Mauritius’s health sector and bring greater benefits to its people.

Dr. Gueye expressed his appreciation for China’s support to the WHO and stated his willingness to strengthen communication with the Chinese side and jointly promote the development of Mauritius’s healthcare sector.
