On 28 February, the 2026 Happy Chinese New Year Parade was successfully held in Port Louis. Ambassador Huang Shifang attended the event together with Mr. Aslam Adam HOSENALLY, Mayor of Port Louis, Mrs. Batoor, Mayoress of Beau Bassin-Rose Hill.

The event was jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy in Mauritius, the China Cultural Center in Mauritius, the Municipality of Port Louis and the United Chinese Associations, among others. It forms part of the “Happy Chinese New Year” series of celebrations in Mauritius.
