On 24 February, Ambassador Huang Shifang met with Mrs. Batoor, Mayoress of Beau Bassin-Rose Hill, and her delegation to exchange views on bilateral sister-city exchanges and cooperation.

Ambassador Huang stated that the sister-city cooperation bears fruitful results and the close exchanges in between keep good momentum. The Embassy is committed to maintaining sound communication with Beau Bassin-Rose Hill to facilitate its friendly cooperation with cities like Changzhou and further enrich the bilateral relationship.

Mrs. Batour expressed her appreciation for China’s long-standing support for Beau Bassin-Rose Hill. She looked forward to further strengthening cooperation with the Chinese side in areas such as sister-city exchanges, culture and education, so as to contribute to the continued development of friendly relations between the two countries.
