On February 9, Ambassador Huang Shifang visited Gaetan Raynal State College alongside Hon. Mahend Gungapersad, Mauritian Minister of Education and Human Resource to inaugurate the audio-visual room renovated with support from China. 

Ambassador Huang stated that the Chinese embassy attaches great importance to the development of education in Mauritius and is committed to strengthening the friendship between the two countries through concrete actions. She expressed the hope that Mauritian youth will gain a better understanding of the real China, and grow into talents who can contribute to their country’s development and the promotion of China-Mauritius friendship and cooperation.

Minister Gungapersad expressed gratitude for China’s long-standing support for Mauritius’ education sector, and hoped that the event would serve as an opportunity to further expand educational exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.
