Notice on the Current Visa Policy

This Notice is to introduce the current visa policy and the application procedures which will be implemented as from the 20th June,2022 in Mauritius.

The details are as follows:

1. Log on to China Online Visa Application (https://cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn) to fill in the application form, which should be printed out together with the confirmation page and both should be signed by the applicant.

2. Log on to Appointment for Visa Application Submission (https://avas.cs.mfa.gov.cn) to book a time slot for processing the application.

3. Submit the application in person to the Chinese Embassy in Mauritius at the appointed time and follow the prescribed procedures.

4. Documents required:

(1)The application form which has been printed and signed.

(2)Passport:

Original passport with at least six months of remaining validity and blank visa pages, and a photocopy of the passport's data page and the photo page if it is separate.

(3)Photo:

A recently-taken color passport photo (bare-head, full face) against a light background attached.

(4)Proof of legal stay or residence status (applicable to the non-Mauritius citizens).

(5)Covid-19 Vaccination Card.

A letter of guarantee issued by a foreign transport company or an invitation letter issued by a 

relevant entity in China.

5. For the emergency humanitarian visas, such as going to China for funerals or visiting critically ill relatives, must submit the identity documents of the deceased or the sick relatives, death certificate or a medical certificate issued by the hospital, a critical illness notice, proof of kinship etc.
