On November 25, the Chinese Embassy in Mauritius held two online seminars to introduce the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to the ruling party of Mauritius, Militant Socialist Movement (MSM), and the well-known scholars, media reporters, non-governmental organizations, and overseas Chinese in Mauritius. Ambassador ZHU Liying attended and delivered keynote speeches, president of MSM Mr. Lesjongard, General Secretary of MSM Mr. Gobin and chairman of Mauritius-China Friendship and Cultural Association Mr. LI Kwong wing gave speeches.

Ambassador ZHU said that the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee is an important meeting held at the important moment of the centenary birthday of the CPC and at the key node of the historical intersection of the "two centenary" goals. The plenary session systematically summed up the major achievements and historical experience of the CPC in the past century, and deliberated and passed the "Resolution of the CPC Central Committee on the Major Achievements and Historical Experience of the Party over the Past Century" Ambassador ZHU introduced the main content of the "Resolution" to the guests, including the great achievements, ten important historical experiences and five historical significance of the CPC’s century glorious journey.

Ambassador ZHU pointed out that the part for the diplomatic affairs of the "Resolution" systematically summarizes the basic propositions, fundamental principles and successful practices of major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and emphasizes that it should serve for the national rejuvenation, the human progress, and the construction of a new type of international relations, building a community with a shared future for mankind. It fully demonstrates the CPC’s national sentiments and responsibility for the world, and contributes Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions to global governance.

Mr. Lesjongard and Mr. Gobin expressed their grateful to Ambassador ZHU for comprehensively introducing the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC, and warmly congratulated the successful convening of the plenary session on behalf of the MSM. They stated that the CPC has always put the people at the center, put the people's interests first, and led the people to achieve world-renowned development achievements in just a few decades. The MSM has maintained friendly relations for many years with the CPC and is looking forward to further strengthening the exchanges and mutual learning between the two parties, especially young cadres, so as to better benefit the two peoples.

Mr. LI Kwong wing and others praised China's brilliant achievements in various historical periods, and said that the leadership of the CPC is the fundamental reason for the success of China's road. It is believed that the CPC will achieve new and greater achievements in the next century. The friendship between Mauritius and China has a long history and has become stronger. Next year is the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. All sectors of Mauritius are willing to deepen pragmatic cooperation with China and push bilateral relations to a new level.
