Ambassador Zhu Liying paid a courtesy call on the General Secretary of the Militant Socialist Movement of Mauritius

On August 31, 2021,Ambassador Zhu Liying paid a courtesy call on Mr. Maneesh Gobin, the General Secretary of the Militant Socialist Movement (MSM) of Mauritius. The two sides exchanged views on China-Mauritius party exchanges and cooperation.

Ambassador Zhu praised the leader of the MSM, Prime Minister Jugnauth for leading the party and government senior officials to attend the "Communist Party of China (CPC) and World Party Leaders Summit" online in early July, and emphasized that China also attaches great importance on interflow with Mauritius at all levels of the society and government. It is hoped that the two sides will continue to strengthen the exchange of experience in governance between the parties in the future, continuously improve their respective governance capabilities, and better respond to various challenges in the post-epidemic era.

Mr. Gobin said that the experience of the CPC in leading the Chinese people to achieve great achievements is very important. The MSM is looking forward to the continued deepening of exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.

Ambassador Zhu presented Gobin with the English version of the document "The CPC: Its Mission and Contributions" recently released by China. The document commemorates the centenary of the founding of the CPC, and explains China’s adherence to independent and peaceful diplomacy and path of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Mr. Gobin highly appreciated it and said that he would recommend this document to members of the party.
