The third batch of Chinese vaccines arrived in Mauritius

In the evening of July 4, 2021, the third batch of China's Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine arrived in Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam international airport of Mauritius. Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Alan Ganoo, Minister of Health and Wellness Mr. Kailesh Jagutpal and Minister-Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Mauritius Mr. Gong Yufeng, greeted at the airport. Afterwards, they met with journalist.

Mr. Alan Ganoo, and Mr. Kailesh Jagutpal said that the Mauritian Government sincerely appreciates it that China has provided precious vaccine support to Mauritius three times in a short period of time, which reflects the profound friendship between Mauritius and China . It is believed that the Chinese vaccine will help Mauritius achieve herd immunity as soon as possible, create favorable conditions for the reopening of the border, and play a vital role in safeguarding the health of the Mauritian people and promoting economic recovery .

Mr. Gong Yufeng said that Chinese Government has provided vaccine support to Mauritius for three times,which reflects that the Chinese government attaches great importance to bilateral relations. Sincerely hope that the arrival of the Chinese vaccines will speed up the progress of the National Vaccination Campaign of Mauritius, and play a positive role in the achievement of herd immunity, reopening of the border and the economic recovery in Mauritius.A few days ago, China celebrated the centenary of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
