On May 7, 2021, the Chargé d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Mauritius, Mr. Gong Yufeng, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Boodhram, newly appointed Passport And Immigration Officer of Mauritius.

Mr. Gong Yufeng expressed his grateful to the Passport and Immigration Office for its long-term support to the work of the embassy, especially the work of consular protection. Gong Yufeng said that the friendship between China and Mauritius has a long history and will last forever. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the two countries have stood out for each other and fought the virus side by side. China recently provided Mauritius with COVID-19 vaccines help, demonstrating the profound friendship between the governments and peoples of the two countries. The epidemic situation in Mauritius is getting better.
