CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP NOTICE

In the academic year 2009/2010, the Government of the People's Republic of China will offer 28 scholarships to Mauritius, including 8 government-to-government scholarships and 20 scholarships to Mauritian students. Candidates can either apply for the government-to-government scholarships through the Ministry of Education, Culture and Human Resources of Mauritius or apply for the scholarships to Mauritian students through the Cultural Office of the Chinese Embassy.

Applicants are kindly advised to submit the following materials (in duplicate): 

1.    Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship.

2.    Highest diploma achieved (notarized photocopy). University students and those who are employed shall also provide studying certificates or employment documents.

3.    Notarized copy of high school transcripts for undergraduate study applicants and other relevant notarized transcripts for postgraduate (or above) study applicants.

4.    A study plan.

5.    For master or doctoral degree applicants, two letters of recommendation by professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English.

(The application form and additional information can be obtained on the website www.csc.edu.cn. Application documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.)
